Hi, my name is
MICHELLE.
I AM...
A WIFE, MOTHER, SISTER, AUNT, GODMOTHER, FRIEND, ANIMAL LOVER, REALITY TV ENTHUSIAST, DISNEY FAN, RUNNER, LATTE CONNOISSEUR, READER, AND SO MUCH MORE.
As a 40-something, first-generation Cuban American, my upbringing in a family rich with culture has deeply influenced my approach to photography. From a very young age, I distinctly remember falling in love with the old photographs that my grandfather kept in his study. Although many were of he and my grandmother's youth and my father as a child, there were some of family members that I never got to meet. Family that passed long before I was born, but live on in these beautiful photographs. Although I don't know who the photographers were, what gifts and legacies they've left behind. Those moments they captured have meant and will continue to mean so much to so many. It's all we have left. I found it all to be so inspiring and thus began my passion for photography.
As a wife and mother of four boys (my eldest is eleven and my youngest is one), family holds a special place in my heart. I understand the importance of capturing not only the significant moments but also the subtle nuances that define relationships. As the person in our family who documents all big moments as well as the little moments in between, I may rarely appear in a photograph, but a big part of heart is in every single one.
My journey as a photographer is deeply rooted in the love and joy that family brings, inspiring me to document weddings with a personal touch and an eye for genuine emotion.
Beyond photography, my life is filled with the joys of caring for my beloved pets—a lively Goldendoodle that is my shadow, a sweet Ragdoll cat who is essentially me in feline form, and a charming herd of adorable guinea pigs that truly melt my heart. Their companionship enriches my days and reminds me of the importance of unconditional love and companionship. If I could have become anything else, it would have been a veterinarian.
“To me, photography is an art of
observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…
I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do
with the way you see them.”

My life is a vibrant tapestry woven with diverse interests and joys. My husband and I bond over our love for reality shows, especially Survivor. We are also avid Disney fans, proudly holding annual passes and membership in the Disney Vacation Club. Living close to Disney World allows us to immerse ourselves in the magic frequently, savoring the enchantment of each visit and reveling in the nightly fireworks displays—the pinnacle of our park experiences.
On the topic of Disney, I have conquered numerous races through runDisney, proudly adorning my walls with a multitude of medals. Among my proudest achievements is completing the Dopey Challenge in 2019, a testament to perseverance and personal triumph. To date, I've ran one full marathon (26.2 mikes), seven half marathons (13.1 miles), nine 10Ks (6.2 miles), and three 5Ks (3.1 miles).
On weekends, you'll often find me exploring local farmer's markets, reveling in the vibrant colors of fresh flowers and handcrafted goods. I have a penchant for lattes—each cup a delightful blend of comfort and creativity, much like my approach to photography. I also love to explore and drive around searching for Little Free Libraries. I have my own that I keep stocked with children's books.
In my downtime, I indulge in the world of literature, with a particular fondness for romantasy, rom-coms, and thrilling mysteries. These genres whisk me away to enchanting realms or keep me on the edge of my seat, providing inspiration that enriches my storytelling. I’m a huge fan of Sarah J Maas.
I also love cozy evenings immersed in the gentle world of video games, especially favorites like Animal Crossing.
